The casting in this was pretty great, all except Moretz, unfortunately, who couldn't really pull it off. I watched the blu-ray's alternate ending version by accident, and I'm glad I did, because the theatrical ending is pretty bland. I think that's this film's worst offense--blandness. I plan on watching the older adaptation next, which I expect to be better.
