In Bruges ★★★½

Film is wonderful: I've just returned from a trip to Bruges. I did the same trip several times when I was younger, but now I'm older and better suited to appreciate the meticulous attention to detail that went into crafting this holiday in a pristinely-photographed, well-preserved medieval town in Belgium.

Some of people on the trip were awful, a condition that Travel Coordinator McDonagh seems to gleefully encourage. This is why some of his other vacation packages hold no appeal for me. But gosh, Bruges is lovely. It all looks rich as Renaissance paintings. It's like a fuckin' fairytale.
