How could a film dubbed "thriller" be so boring?

The Christmas tradition continues.

Apparently a lot of people don't understand the meaning of this movie, or think nothing happens within it. But I really enjoyed it. Maybe because I myself am feeling lost currently, having just graduated and am still unemployed trying to figure the rest of my life out (as is Scarlett Johansson's character). It shows that life is short so we should be enjoying it instead of wasting it. It's quirky and different, but I find that is part of the appeal. It's heartwarming, even if in a different way. Not for everyone I suppose, but it worked for me.

You have done so, my friend. And you have done so well.

Everyone talks about how amazing J.K. Simmons is in this role, and believe me, they have a right to, but I feel that it leaves Miles Teller in the background. His performance in this movie really grabbed me, and was truly inspiring.

Probably my favorite film of 2014.
