Personal Shopper ★★★★½

This fits into the narrow category of a film that I watched at home a while after it played theatrically that I immediately wished I'd seen much earlier and in a theater.

Because I am prone to banal observations, I'll sometimes complain out loud that the ubiquity of phones has made contemporary-set narrative films tougher to make, because there's only so many way to dramatize people staring at screens. Assayas is way, way smarter than me, though.
