Russell Goldman’s review published on Letterboxd:
A staggering movie, and one absolutely deserving of attention and discussion. For me, the fly-on-the-wall approach to all of these horrific sequences happening in front of you gets dreary. Perhaps it's my own desire for something to intervene in the narrative and knowledge that nothing would, but THE TRIBE's brutality skirts between eye-opening and exploitative, with visual storytelling as subtle and effective as a kid walking down a hallway and as vomit-inducing as deaths and coathanger abortions. Still, I was always captivated.
