Close Encounters of the Third Kind 1977
The notion that the world’s misfits & true of heart can be pulled together by a force of goodwill is such a lovely dreamy hippie movie idea that’s not just rare for a studio movie but beyond rare for a blockbuster studio movie. Spectacle devoted to wonder, not destruction. Only other movie to reach that kinda blissed-out movie heaven is “E.T.” SPIELBERG RULES!
