A mentally draining, challenging film that is also very rewarding and therapeutic to get through.

Truly an unparalleled experience. The way Tarr moves his camera is hypnotic and the sequence of events is devastating and surreal. At one point I felt like I was entering a bad trip and at others just fully wrapped in the world he created.

If I had a criticism it would be that because Béla Tarr was so dedicated to his style a scene near the end of the film with two newly introduced characters is the only part of the film I experienced Boredom. The scene is 10 minutes long so not a big issue but Feels out of place in the films fantastic conclusion.

Overall, astonishing and brave. It feels very slow throughout and this will throw many people off

After doing some research on the controversial cat scene it seems like the animal wasn’t harmed at all. It doesn’t make it much easier to watch but I was glad to find this out
