Ryan Chattaway’s review published on Letterboxd:
As a faithful reader of the Batman comics, I LOVED LOVED LOVED this film. Was it perfect? No. But what movies are? Ben Affleck as Batman was a masterstoke of brilliance. He IS the angry, brutal, and conflicted Batman that I have been reading in the comics. He IS, in my opinion, the Batman we read in "The Dark Knight Returns".... I have been a Henry Cavell fan since day one so he was great as Superman to me. But Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman stole the show in the scenes she was is. The early part of the film played like a political thriller/dark crime thriller so of course I loved it. With that said I did think there were a few flaws that did not take away from the experience. The first half had some interesting editing choices in terms of transitioning from scene to scene. A couple times it was jarring. But I have a feeling that may clear up a little when we get the extended cut on blu-ray which will add 30 minutes to the runtime. Lastly, I really liked Jesse Eisenburg as Lex Luthor, but sometimes I think it was a little to over the top. With all that said, I loved the film.
