Victoria ★★★★½

The "One Take" (which more appropriately should be called the Long Take) has always been an intensely appealing stylistic choice. With the recent Birdman and Hitchcock's Rope, we have scene great movies that appear to be one continuous shot but are not. They showcase more a skill in editing and acting than cinematography. Now he have Victoria, perhaps one of the most ambitious films in the medium and it's fucking magical.

I urge you to not seek out any more information on this movie. A true long 140 minute take should be enough to entice you.

This movie wears its passion on its sleeve. A true testament to artistic vision.

I honestly think less of Birdman now, that movie is lazy in comparison to this adrenaline fueled thrill ride.
