Watching this in theaters was sort of a surreal experience for me. I've seen every MCU movie, for better or worse, and many of them more than once. Iron Man was immediately 11-year-old me's favorite movie. The Avengers, 4 years later, was unlike any movie I had seen before. I even loved The Incredible Hulk. And while my love affair with superhero movies ended long ago, Endgame was still the end of an era for me.

Obviously, Endgame isn't a perfect movie. There are a few issues I have with it, but I'm not gonna get into them. This movie serves perfectly as the emotional conclusion to the MCU. Infinity War was Thanos's story, but Endgame gave all the original Avengers great storylines and satisfying conclusions. This is the reason I loved it. Well, that and the scene where all the Dr. Strange portals open up and the 'vanished' characters show up again. That was hype.

I really don't know where they go from here. This was literally the culmination of 10 years of movies. It was a great ride, but I don't think I'll be seeing many MCU movies from here on out that don't involve Spider-Man or Thor. Most of the new characters really aren't that interesting, and you can't get any higher stakes than the final act of Endgame. But I'm totally fine with that.

Now onto the Battle of Winterfell, where I get to watch more of my favorite characters die! Woohoo!!
