Not a bad movie by any means, super enjoyable, but this story works much better as a book.
So is the number of legs someone has arithmetically proportionate to how evil they are in this world? Evidence:
-Fish/Merfolk: zero legs, almost universally good
-Humans: two legs, generally good but distrusted by merfolk and some bad eggs (e.g. the murderous Chef Louie)
-Ursula/Morgana: eight leg, eight bad
The only exception to this is Sebastian, but I’m sure he could kill and is one bad day away from snapping. He is at least lawful neutral.
Oh god. That was a seriously messed up movie. Unbelievable. At times, it was the funniest move, and at others, it was scary. This is my favorite execution of the super common slippery-slope plot that I’ve ever seen. This may be in my top five of all time. I’m still processing this movie but oh my god it was so good.
Seeing this and The Lighthouse back to back made my soul throw up.
