Richard T’s review published on Letterboxd:
"She wanted to go dancing, so we watched a movie."
My expectations weren't very high walking into this, but this was a pleasant surprise.
Ready Player One is a solid piece of craftsmanship from one of the world's greatest living directors, an unashamedly goofy, visually spectacular romp with a strong cast and a well-paced story.
It may lack the dramatic heft and rollicking nature of some of his superior popcorn flicks, but it still glides along with that inimitable Spielberg energy and marks another hit (albeit a minor one) in a career full of them.
