    Disappointing.  I felt that this was a fairly strange, yet simple story. A basic love story of star crossed lovers. I felt Del Toro over complicated this story and in the end did not deliver. This story screams deep characters and complex problems, yet lacks emotional value. Del Toro forced us to feel something when he should have showed us. I felt uneasy about most of the characters, and I never felt connected to their choices or personality.

    Hard to say that I enjoyed this. But, I respect the authenticity of the film. 
    Nothing hollywood about it. This story is a story of the people, because it shows that loss isn’t healed over night. We never stop mourning.

    I thought this film was done very tactfully. Today, teenagers (and even adults) want fast paced, they don’t want to wait for anything. And I saw this represented in this movie. Characters were a little more shallow than usual, plot was rushed, and songs were quick. The music was styled to be more Pop, than traditional Broadway-inspired.
