• Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2

Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2

Never saw the first one, but the first half of this movie is essentially comprised of uncut scenes from that first movie with a lot of recap so I suppose it really doesn’t matter. On its own this movie is pretty hilarious. As I said, weirdly cobbled together with stuff from the first movie, and what is new here doesn’t feel like it was filmed to be taken seriously whatsoever. This sucks in the best way. Really the only way I can describe it.

  • Mission: Impossible II

    Mission: Impossible II

Kind of terrible honestly. This movie is so boring. Stands out in the worst way possible when it comes to looking at this series as a whole. Honestly I think most anyone should just skip this and go straight to the third movie if you plan on watching these. Thankfully this is the only real low point of this series, in my opinion. The first movie has aged so incredibly well, while this one has not at all.

  • Mission: Impossible

    Mission: Impossible

In my opinion this is basically perfect for what it is. So well directed, a lot of great tense moments and a good twist near the end. One of the quintessential spy films ever made in my opinion. Especially since this is the first film in this franchise that has spawned truly great sequels, it’s impressive how well this has held up. I will say too I love the use of Dutch angles in this too. Usually I kind of hate them but I think this movie has some of the best uses of them I’ve ever seen. Good ass movie 🙏🙏🙏

  • Leprechaun

Wish I could fight the leprechaun from this movie in real life. No joke I would prep so well that he would have no chance of winning. I would study his various powers and weaknesses and come out on top so fast. His gold is mine

  • Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One

Maybe not my favorite Mission Impossible movie, but I just couldn’t help but have a good time still. The climax of this was so great that I think it made up for the fact that this was a little bloated for what it was. Not entirely sure this needed to be a part one, but whatever. Still a great deal of fun.  Genuinely cannot wait for another one of these. I love it.

  • Candyman

Honestly pretty solid I think. Performances are absolutely great across the board here. There are a few truly amazing horror movies kills in this too. Seriously great stuff. So well directed all around, plus this looks absolutely amazing from a visual standpoint. Nia DaCosta puts in some damn good work here. I don’t think this is perfect by any means, and certainly not as good as the original in my opinion, which I have grown to like a lot over time, but on its own, I still really enjoyed this.

  • A Haunting in Venice

    A Haunting in Venice

Originally I wasn’t a huge fan of the first of these movies, Murder on the Orient Express, but after I rewatched it and Death on the Nile I ended up having a lot more fun, so I was kind of excited to see this. I honestly thought that this was pretty good. This looks absolutely beautiful. The sets and everything just look absolutely superb. The story and mystery of this one too was way more engaging for me than the…

  • Killers of the Flower Moon

    Killers of the Flower Moon

I saw this last night, and ever since I can’t get most of this movie out of my head. Visually this film just looks so gorgeous, there are a few really masterful shots in specific that I loved but everything here just looked so nice. The performances here too are all top tier. Lily Gladstone especially I think was very good here. At the end of this movie, I think this was the first time in awhile where I just…

  • Freddy vs. Jason

    Freddy vs. Jason

I have to be honest here. I think I’m at the point where my opinion on this is just based off of the title alone. Freddy vs Jason. Realistically what else would you expect when you go into this. I get it, I’m sure this could be better in alot of ways, but who cares. I really don’t think anyone is watching this for the lore or the plot. I feel like for what this is, it’s good fun. I…

  • The Nightmare Before Christmas

    The Nightmare Before Christmas

This is perfect. So imaginative and visually stunning. The music is fantastic, this remains a timeless classic. I really can’t say anything negative about this, because I truly feel that this is flawless. So good. 🙏

  • The Departed

    The Departed

This is nothing short of masterful. Every single performance in this is great, it’s so well written and directed. This is a masterpiece. Only Scorsese could have  made this movie I think. He adds so much to this with his direction that it’s insane. There is so much to love about this, but I think watching this for the first time without knowing what  happens is the best. This is one of the best crime thrillers ever made, period. Every single thing about this is perfect.

  • Barbarian

I mean, whatever. This movie is so frustrating to me. The first part is genuinely really great, but as soon as Justin Long shows up it just goes downhill for me immediately. It completely derails the movie for no reason. Maybe I’m missing something here, but whatever. I don’t think this is awful or anything, I think some of it has merit. For me this just feels disjointed kind of and doesn’t work as a whole.
