i do be preferring the reflection of life to life itself no cap
favourites are the last 4 I absolutely loved
I was at a concert where Rahul Deshpande (who portrays his own grandfather Vasantrao Deshpande here) talked about how influential Amadeus (1984) has been in his life. One can certainly see that film’s influence here. However, where that film was concerned with a genius among philistines, this is more of a ‘standing on the shoulders of giants’ type of film (I thought so from the get-go itself but this was shown quite literally in a sequence at the end).
