Sam Doucet’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is my favorite Sam Jackson performance.
I am absolutely fascinated with his character and the dynamic he has with the others on screen. Since he lives in the house, he believes he’s above the rest. His skepticism of Dr. Schultz and Django is driven by his jealousy of the Django being a free man and therefore one step above Jackson. I even noticed that Jackson changes the way he speaks depending on if it’s to a black man or a white man. Tarantino really got me with this one.
