    I'm a fan of Neil Flannigan's work and love how hard he goes for all stuff that involves King at his silliest which is where this film is at its best. At the same time, and quite suitable also I guess, it's impossible to ignore just how awful the film's final half hour is and how jarring it is when anything involving Kubrick's work clashes with King's sensibilities.

    The People Under the Stairs

    The Looney Tunes cat-and-mouse games mixed in with the absolute madness coming from Wendy Robie and Everett McGill's performances makes a perfect pairing. Not sure if the criticism of wealth fully work and it seems to mostly serve as a motive to get Fool into the house but I appreciate what the film was trying to get at. It's a bit messy and slightly longer than necessary but it's also a top-tier Wes Craven film and a lot of fun to watch.

    In an alternate universe the Robeson's would have made great villains in a more recent Resident Evil game.
