Sunlit domesticity isn't particularly fresh horror territory, but it's compounded here by the unknowable limits of the body, the viciousness of the family dynamic; reminded me of Kafka and Kubrick, and Jonathan Glazer, with his eerie compositions and jagged soundscapes... But it's 100% Lanthimos, who's very much a tonal brand unto himself by this point. Really impressive.
