Samantha E’s review published on Letterboxd:
this is perhaps one of the saddest most real heartbreaking films I’ve seen.
The security guard, one of the few characters to lend empathy to Wendy says this
You can’t get an address without an address and you can’t get a job without a job. It’s all fixed.
its a harsh indictment of the treatment of homeless and jobless people in the US and the film goes painfully with that. not just the monetary cost or the physical one of living without a home but the mental cost and the cost of friendships, in this case Wendy with her beautiful yellow-gold dog Lucy.
Also, fuck you if you ever rat out a shoplifter.
