A Most Violent Year

A Most Violent Year ★★★★

J. C. Chandor's A Most Violent Year is a fascinating exploration of morality, as an immigrant named Abel Morales struggles to expand his business during the turbulence of a particularly violent winter in New York City, 1981. Propelled by brilliant performances from Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain, not to mention Chandor's wonderful screenplay and the handsome camera work by Bradford Young, A Most Violent Year is an engaging and thought provoking piece of work.
