my friend said after watching: this has a rating of 4.5
me: out of 10?
no you can NEVER beat 2012 (2009)!!!!!!
I mean 10x better than the first Knives Out film, but saving grace of this film was Daniel Craig’s delivery in this role.
Just as dope as its trailer. I think the black panther story stayed real, stayed fresh, and did a great job on how they paid homage to chadwick.
particularly striking is the fighting choreography - something that a lot of sequels fail to achieve.. when you're in a franchise that basically repeats a lot of things, you gotta know when to step out of the box - but make sure it works! nice how they incorporated that mid-air acrobatics, just…
aw man, big let down. trailer looked so fun, was expecting a lot! the pacing was slower than expected and the main guy wasn’t as captivating as i thought. overall i think the plot was much deeper and hid the symbolisms well, such a touching conclusion - but overall executions of the scenes wasn’t able to carry that thought til the end.
now this is your friday night, snack munching, butt clenching, light beer-ing, teeth chattering watch. made me forgot all my current stress and anxiety, like thanks guys for subbing for me - your turn to suffer.
really worth giving a shot, appreciate how it doesn’t take much of the cliches you’d expect from these types of films. build up to the plot twist was really cool, pretty inconspicuous. ending is quite questionable, but i think that’s the beauty of it.
