Jamie Tram’s review published on Letterboxd:
these movies don't look terrible by any means, but it's very funny to me that, in the absence of memorable prod design (sans that whiteboard WHICH THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO SHOW AGAIN), the defining iconography of the series has become close-ups of the filthiest fucking feet you've ever seen.
this is no less improbable than the first movie and cheats its way out of certain death a ton, thanks to some convenient editing. luckily i'm not (that much of) a snob and this is still the kind of competent mainstream horror fare that's reliably fun to watch with a jumpy crowd. that being said, nothing matches the nail in the stairs from the first one, and fuck them kids tbh!!
