Sam Herbst’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is an extremely well-made (wide) directorial debut with two thunderous performances at the center and if you can’t accept that I just can’t help you!!!
I’m thrilled to see how engaging this movie is on rewatch, and how fully committed Collette and Wolf’s performances are. The beats of this movie are wild, and despite its references still feels wholly realized and uniquely exciting.
The way Ann Dowd says “Louie” is so wonderful.
