Salim Ibrahim’s review published on Letterboxd:
Had to rewatch some parts of this film for my Youtube project about my thoughts on Christopher Nolan (www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfi9ZqQd0jU)
I adore this film.
more so than Inception.
Sorry, I love Kon more than Nolan.
Oh no, I'm not Nolanized or Stuckmannized or blah, blah, blah.
The complicated plot is handled a lot better, despite it's sense of perplexed logic.
I also think this film shows a great portrayal of dreams. It should envision someone's own imagination, and to an extent, someone's mental state.
It's all wrapped up together with Satoshi Kon's brilliant direction and editing, stunning animation, great writing, and sub-par English voice acting.
