This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Very strong visuals with fantastically motivated camera movements. The narrative, on the other hand, was completely unforgiving. The length at which we wait to never find this boy is painful in a boring and terrific way.

The sound of the search party calling for Alexey, atop the visuals of the orange vests methodically combing the forrest, is something I will not soon forget.

I ended up picking corn out of my teeth, long after the movie had ended. OK, maybe it wasn't that bad. Anton Yelchin was truly the saving grace in this 2000s piece of pop poop. A combination of his on screen presence and the evolution of his wardrobe made for an intriguingly fun watch. Still, I couldn't get past the terrible soundtrack choices (which seemingly plagued Hollywood in the 2000s).

I have a feeling that this movie could really benefit…

    Just wow...
If you are unfamiliar with Don Hertzfeldt, familiarize yourself with his work by watching "Rejected". Then take a look at "Such a Beautiful Day". Then bring yourself to this masterpiece. This 16 min short feels like the culmination of an artists style and voice and will fail to disappoint.

This movie serves as a vessel for which Linklater can empty his shower thoughts into. Interesting ideas, but I find the format in which he presents his concepts uninteresting. I wish he could convey his ideas in other ways than through snappy Linklater dialogue.
