But I'm a Cheerleader

But I'm a Cheerleader ★★★½

A comedy in the sense that all the humor comes from the fact that homophobia is ridiculous and conversion therapy is useless. While I’d never exactly call it cathartic, there’s an intensely gratifying aura that comes out of identity and becoming comfortable with your own, even if it’s a message that’s been utilized plenty of times before. This is just so pure, cheesy, and fun, so much so that the flaws almost work in its favor.
