Yes, even in Germany the 80s were a time when a movie could live from the star power of a TV host and a stand up comedian /singer.
Let's be honest. It's awful. Gottschalk and Krüger are as wooden as Pinocchio's boner, the story doesn't make sense, most jokes are even for me too dumb (let's ignore the racism for being a product of its time) and the only thing that makes it at least a tiny bit watchable, is the time capsule factor.
