Everything Everywhere All at Once

Everything Everywhere All at Once ★★★

Dealing with the multiverse is such an ambitious task that causes the film to inevitably submit itself to an excessive narrative that gets carried away in its own premise. The rapid chaotic pace and broad subject matter of (quite literally) infinity can be overwhelming, but in fairness it is matched with raw human emotion upon which the plot is truly centred on. As a case against nihilism, it’s quite successful. As a display of the visual capabilities of the directors, it’s very impressive. But as a cohesive movie, I think they may have bit off more than they could chew.
