Adorable. My Neighbor Totoro could have very easily been a forgettable earache but the characters are so well-written and likeable. There are so many accurate mannerisms from the children characters and how they should react in certain situations they are presented with which must be praised. The themes and messages aren’t very subtle but who cares when it is so engaging and just fun and sweet. Extremely well put together and the fight scenes are probably some of the most enjoyable ever.
