“Neither team. Ones just losing faster than the other.”

    Classic noir

This was entertaining like The Room mixed with the ramblings of a Reddit thread. Still would rather rewatch this over Frances Ha

A little clunky but an artsier version of Bond with Michael Caine to carry us through. About 3000 dutch tilts too. Interesting watch.

  • Red Rocket

    Red Rocket 2021

Best movie I’ve seen all year. Simon Rex is a no brainer for the lead. No punches pulled just raw and unvarnished narcissism in the sticks of Texas.

  • House of Games

🔥🔥 character arc and a mamet masterpiece in dialogue

  • Another Round

    Another Round 2020

★★★★½ Watched by Sam Lichtenstein 18 Dec 2021

One of the most grounded yet magnificent films I’ve seen since Covid. I’m a sucker for a muted Scandinavian eruption as opposed to the usual melodramas we get barraged with in America.

Feels like this movie could have been made in 1950 and still been amazing. Not really too many memorable characters though, just beautiful moments.

    Still holds up. Truly hilarious.
