Samuelleary’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’m sorry but I absolutely ADORE this film. I completely get the criticisms and I agree with some of them, such as its pretty bland 2nd third but the 1st third is just so gripping to me and the last third is just perfect in my eyes. The whole film is a testament to how invested I am in the films and that’s absolutely fine with me, even if it means some people miss out on the same experience I have. The film means so much to me and no joke... to my life. It’s the perfect bookend to 22 films and not just 11 years of filmmaking, but 11 years of my life. A perfect (imo) finale to the series that has taken me through essentially my whole life and I find the film so reflective and melancholic because of that fact. I don’t believe I will ever stop loving this film and what it means to me, and I’m not going to say otherwise just to please other people and fit in with other people even if it contrasts my raw opinion. Nuff said!
