استنادا إلى احدى قصص هاروكي موراكامي القصيرة، (لا تتعدى الأربعين صفحة) فيلم مدته حوالي 3 ساعات يحكي قصة زوجين تجمعها علاقة غريبة تنتهي بشكل مأساوي يطرح عشرات الاسئلة.. بعد ذلك ينطلق احد اروع افلام السنة يحاول فيه البطل فك شفرة اسرار زوجته الراحلة رفقة سائقة.
لا أتذكر الوقت الذي شاهدت فيه فيلما ترك بداخلي مثل هذا الأثر .. السينما اليابانية دائما عظيمة. -
All That Heaven Allows 1955
Melodramatic masterpiece.
Finally got my hands on Douglas Sirks All That Heaven Allows. Visually stunning if you like late 50's high end decor.The performances are excellent and managed to stay grounded in the melodrama. The colors in the production and lighting are just exquisite and along with the cinematography, are good enough for the price of admission alone.
Overall, I really enjoyed this one and would strongly recommend it. I'm looking forward to digging further into Sirk's filmography as well as melodramas as a whole.
