    The Art of Self-Defense

    ★★★½

Very on the nose but extremely fun and dark exploration of masculinity and violence. The art of self defense, is funny and appropriately weird,

It uses deadpan and the characters strangeness well. Is a hostile movie, in a very funny way. The only issue with that part of it is that it doesn't always seem sure on how grounded it wants it's world to be. Sometimes it shows the main character as awkward and weird, but can other times also…

    The Laundromat

    ★★½

The tone and style of the movie clash with the final message, and it doesn't seem to know where it wants to focus, if in the two lawyers or the widow, the latter being by far the weakest part of the movie. And thats why it fails for me. It wants to tell the story with a moral point of view but it doesn't match the rest of the movie. And more often than not struggles to find it's point, even meandering into a few vignettes that while a bit entertaining, just make the film feel longer.

Sally and her brother go, accompanied by some friends, to visit their grandfather’s grave after hearing news of vandalism and grave robbing in the local cemetery, but as they go deeper into the small town they will enter their worst nightmare.

There are movies that while I like or love, I usually avoid watching too often. The reason varies from film to film. The Texas Chainsaw massacre is one of those…

    The Silence of the Lambs

Movie 5 in my October's Horror film a day.

Star FBI trainee Clarice Starling is asked by the head of the division she wants to work in to present a questionnaire to brilliant forensic psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer, Hannibal Lecter, but soon what started as a routine errand will connect with the murders of a brutal serial killer dubbed Buffalo Bill.

This one is hard to talk about, it’s an iconic movie and a modern classic for a reason,…
