This could be such a charming and interesting movie (or franchise, for that matter), but instead the producers opted for a superficial and tame supposed money-making machine. The awful Bhutan scenes excluded, it isn‘t even boring - most of the movie was fairly entertaining, yet at the same time weirdly empty. What’s more, in spite of its long runtime, also this third Fantastic Beasts movie made me feel like I was missing a lot of the charachters’ backstories or context in general, when they in fact never introduced it. A missed opportunity for what could be a truly magical story.
