"Oh, what a darling little cat!"
"His name is Lucifer."
"That's a strange name for a cat."
"It's a strange cat..."
Ray Dennis Steckler (directing this under the name Michel J. Rogers) clearly took Sacrilege a little more seriously than many of his other hardcore films. Or perhaps the black and white photography and witchy aesthetic is tricking me into thinking there is some artistry going on here. The film is certainly less vulgar and less gross than the last few of Steckler's triple-Xers I've seen, and there is a semblance of a plot to follow as well. I'll gladly give him the benefit of the doubt. It's at least weird and interesting enough to earn a real star rating. 🐈⬛
