Letterboxd — Your life in film

If you don’t like those lil yellow guys, I can’t trust you.

Despite the occasionally horrible cgi quite an enjoyable popcorn film that (unlike the 2018 reboot) truly honors the original Predator!

Way too over the top for me but still a pretty enjoyable action flick.

A24 has once again delivered an amazing film. Men is a fantastically written, intelligent horror film with a clear and convincing feminist message. It has great body horror, a slight folk horror touch and a fantastic cinematography that at times almost reminded me of Tarkovsky's films. Definitely my cup of tea!

Has some very cool and beautifully made scenes in it (for which I give half a star extra) but is actually a pretty mediocre film. The premise is interesting but is not developed well enough throughout the story. Slightly disappointed...

I have to admit that it's probably largely due to the thick layer of nostalgia and my love of dinosaurs, BUT this movie is really heavily underrated! Just a really fun theme park ride!

Just a great adventure movie full of fantastic action and a whole bunch of convincing special effects. Nothing more but definitely nothing less. Loved it!

The ending was fucking terrifying…

“One day the AI’s are going to look back on us the same way we look at fossil skeletons on the plains of Africa. An upright ape living in dust with crude language and tools, all set for extinction.”

This is the type of film that floods you with questions. Not just questions about the very well written story, but deeper questions that transcend the narrative. Can computers have consciousness? Just what is the difference between computers and humans? And will there come a day when we will no longer notice a difference? All questions raised by this beautifully made and well-acted film.

A downward spiral of misery. Works on the nerves tremendously and is super relevant.
