This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

When the first Goddess show starts and everyone is covered in pure gold, that’s proof that show business can be larger than life and better than anything you could ever hope to put your hands on. The only problem is that everything beyond that is either an unsustainable dream or a living hell scape. In one of the best shots Kyle MacLachlan‘s character is framed standing in such a scape. Ray Liotta goes full Gremlin Mode. What an actor. What a star. I am genuinely baffled by anyone who doesn't find something like this incredibly entertaining. Liotta holds such a menacing aura and I think it's that intensity which stopped him from becoming a bigger box office draw during this period. Audiences can handle a tough guy, but they can't handle someone so unhinged (especially when that unhinged person is also incredibly charming). Rest in peace to an American icon.

"As I think you know, Alma, I prefer my asparagus with oil and salt."

The key to understanding literally anything that Kanye West says. I don't know if I've ever laughed as hard in a theatre as I did seeing this for the first time.
