  I appreciate how this film feels a bit darker than some of the other Turtles movies, but I do wish it was a little more fun than it actually is. The animation for the turtles isn’t half bad, but the human characters are ugly as sin. Decent for what it is, but not one I’m too crazy about.

  Jigsaw 2017

  Maybe it’s because I watched this right after Saw 3D, but I was so excited at the start of this one. It really looked like this was going to breathe some new life into the franchise, and be one of the better installments. But as the film goes on, it loses momentum and gets a bit too twisty for its own good. That said, it has its moments, and comes close to recapturing the magic of the first two movies, but it ultimately falls just short of it.
