What if Damien Chazelle wrote a thriller about a guy who has to play piano really well or his girlfriend will die, except the villain is an idiot and the movie wasn't thrilling at all? And also it's 74 minutes long minus credits, and also also it's just really stupid even if it kinda realizes it

Really nice! Not much of a better way to put it. The kids are fantastic. Was trying to think of the funniest band to use for "the music of the future", and landed on either 100 gecs or Greta Van Fleet
For the first two-thirds of this movie, I was really liking it. Even though it's long, I was never bored, I couldn't think of a scene I would cut, and the whole thing was really drawing me in even though there's not much in the way of "action" or "plot".
Then the scene in the backseat hits and I can't take my eyes off screen for the rest of the movie
