Scarlett Worthington’s review published on Letterboxd:
Expertly crafted, insane casting and performances, gripping tension, master camerawork, on point pacing. Scorsese made an amazing film and I don’t think he’s ever been so intricate and intelligent with his film-making as he has with The Departed.
Taxi Driver is the masterpiece for Scorsese, however this film gets everything bang on in terms of what makes a real good film, it’s hard to fault.
The narrative is somewhat complex but I was too gripped for that to be a problem. Exceptional direction, beautifully fucking illustrated.
