Liz’s review published on Letterboxd:
Not quite as successful as Frank Ripploh's later (admitted!) remake, Taxi zum klo, but I do really like just how dry and claustrophobic Peck's portrait of London's cruising scene is. I love how he uses repeated shots and music cues to link the club to the classroom, blurring the edges between the two as his closeted teacher's private life bleeds into his day job. Totally not surprised that a bunch of punk teens in 1978 London were crazy homophobic!
