Despite quite the artsy beginning, Mr. Long turns into this wonderful lovely and emotional roller coaster of killing, caring for each other, revenge and cooking(!). It takes the slow cooking approach and uses the time showing us the facettes of the main characters. It's somewhat a feelgood-movie but isn't really one - yet it is just a rewarding experience all in all.
Seen it thrice by now, still doesn't get boring one bit(e) - big shout-out to Chang Chen and Bai Run-yin: that relationship they show on screen is pure gold.
