Little Shop of Horrors 1986
Not a good script and a mediocre musical but I give it one star extra only for the great special fx.

Raw 2016
I have no fucking clue why this is so often mentioned along with barf bags given out to the audience, fainted viewers, disgust and gore.
This drove my expectations way too high even though I knew in which thematic direction it wants to go and I don't know if it's the expectation but I think the issues and how the director wanted to present them could have tolerated a good load more of disgust and they wouldn't have drowned in… -
Balls of Fury 2007
I was expecting a big disappointment. A bad movie but not the a bit dumb lough out loud (I don't mean LOL!) comedy I wanted to see. Now that I've seen it I have to say it's neither a bad or a very good comedy.
I laughed a few times; there's some good humor a la one of the better typical 21th century dumb american comedies.
But there's something strange that I've never experienced in such an extent in other… -

Screwballs 1983
Bad and fucking stupid. I loved it! The first 20 minutes. The humor just doesn't hold up for the whole movie (which is rather short).

North by Northwest 1959
Great directing over the whole film but the story and how it's told has too much flaws after the point where the big secret is revealed which is faaar too early. It's taking out all the suspense through irritation and is completely unnecessery due to the fact that it's only for the audience and later in the movie the same thing is brought to the character. And thats not the only scene where the audience is held for a bit stupid.
But after all a film that's worth watching. -
Snake Eyes 1998
De Palma like great cinematography, not a very strong story/ending and a sometimes annoying Nicolas Cage.
If it hadn't been De Palma doing that movie it would be mediocre at best.
But it was him - staging it to the best. -
T2 Trainspotting 2017
It felt like eating a bowl of memberberries. Nothing new and nothing individual but just a reminder about the first.
Pretty entertaining though. -
Bullitt 1968
I don't know what it is with this film.
I like the look. It has some stylish violent scenes that I do like a lot. I think Steve McQueen is cool as fuck and the car chase sequence is just damn great.
But there is something with the acting and the lack of suspense at which I'm not sure if it's really the acting bothering me that the film doesn't catch me as I wished it would.
