    Downfall

    Downfall was engrossing. It's more effective to me than any history book I read in school about the person of Adolf Hitler or the delirium that took down the suicidally devout of the Third Reich. The foremost reason for this was Bruno Ganz's performance as Hitler. He layers in a frailty, vulnerability and even a measure of warmth that serves to heighten how chilling Hitler's staunch belief in the evil ideology of nationalistic white supremacy was.

    Also, this has some of the best set design I've seen.

    Jeez this flick wrecked me.
