Oldboy was always one of those movies where I always saw that cool neon dripped poster and heard the rumours of how awesome it is, but I never took that step to seeing it. But, holy shit!
How tf was I sleeping on this movie for so long?! An awesome example of Korean cinema!

Saw this last night @ the local Bytowne Cinema in Ottawa. And, mild spoilers ahead

    The Big Lebowski

An odyssey of one man who just wants his rug back. A blast of a movie, filled to the brim with honky tonk cattle rustler narrators (who also appear?), fucking fascists, Vietnam vets who embrace 3000 years of beautiful tradition, Donny the child who wanders into the conversations, and of course, the Dude. He’s man for his time and place.

I absolutely love this film! Not the biggest fan of the Cohen Brothers work overall; in my eyes this is…

Review of Star Wars: Andor, Episodes 1 - 3

This new Disney+ series is pretty good. Sort of has a gritty noir aesthetic to it. If you’ve been very tired of the regular Disney Star Wars fair, from the mountain of mediocrity that was Obi-Wan Kenobi to strangely structured Book of Boba-Fett, I say give this one a watch.

In comparison, Andor feels like a…

He who robs the graves of Egypt, dies!”

Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee star in this colourful hammer classic. Watched on DVD

Very enjoyable! Cushing always brought a real gravitas to his roles. Lee doesn’t have as much to do, but his performance is awesome too as the ancient priest and titular mummy. Truly kings…

    Deep Red

Definitely one of Dario Argento’s best ❤️‍🔥!
My favourite of his so far is Tenebrae, but this is close behind!!!
When I think giallo cinema, this is definitely one of the ones that comes to mind.

    Watched on Shudder

What makes Deep Red a classic
of this niche genre?!  🔪 🩸

    - The POV of gloved and booted killer slowly stepping around the scene of the crime & slashin folks up
    - that beautiful and eclectic score by Goblin & Gaslini that works…
