I've been listening to the album Anima by Thom Yorke lately so I figured I'd revisit this. Such a gem of visuals, choreography, and emotion. The songs present being "Not the News", "Traffic", and "Dawn Chorus" split this one-reeler into 3 distinct parts.

The first 2 parts are odd, somewhat humorous, and enjoyable to watch as Yorke navigates this bizarre landscape of droning people and colorful galleries of light. I imagine that these sections could put people off, as it…

This was a disgusting movie with a main character that was really hard to sympathize with, but the moments where Keitel's acting let go were some powerful emotional beats. I found this experience to be rarely comfortable, yet I respect this film for the story it's trying to tell.

This film defines what it feels like to be growing up and maturing in the 2010s. It's an overwhelmingly beautiful, emotional, and fragile story. Almost a send-off for the decade.

All else I can say is that I…

Ergo Proxy is a flawed yet incredible journey.

There is so much "2 steps forward, 1 step back" throughout the story. It's so inconsistent. Some of the episodes are downright brilliant and others are complete bore fests.

The world-building here is great despite how there's waaay too much exposition. From Romdeau to the other environments, it's all very cool and dystopian. The characters are interesting, especially the main cast. Characters such as Pino are incredibly charming and bring so much…
