Definitely interesting to see the ways this influenced Terry Gilliam's 12 Monkeys. The still photography also works rather well especially for something as unreal as science fiction and time travel. The differing shot transitions effectively convey the passage of time and other narrative devices lost with the shift away from moving pictures. I'm glad they decided to do it in a short film though, as it might get tired after too long. Was skeptical at first, but the story grew on me.
