"His mind is like a clean, hungry sponge."
I'm really at a loss to describe how awesomely and perhaps stupidly fun this movie is. I saw it at my local used DVD store and the only thing I knew about it was what I saw on the cover: Pierce Brosnan and Jeff Fahey wearing dumb Tron suits. From that simple image and the fact that I had never heard of it I ended up correctly assuming both the tone and caliber of the film. At one level it truly is awful. The dialogue is insipid, there are subplots that never pay off, and the special effects are the textbook definition of "dated". It's no surprise that after the film's release Stephen King sued its producers for attaching his name to it. But if you're in the right mood (which for some may involve the use of alcohol) this is an incredibly fun little film. Or maybe I'm just a sucker for surreal bad CGI.
