Only including entries for which I've seen the movie and read the book/play/etc.
Notes indicate whether I read the book first or watched the movie first.
Ranked based on how much I liked the movie in isolation rather than how "good" of an adaptation it is. For me, movies are "good adaptations" when they are good movies, not when they're faithful to their source material; otherwise almost the entire top 10 would be all the way at the bottom (The Shining and Blade Runner are particularly unfaithful adaptations).
What am I missing out on? I'm open to recommendations of either books or film, although it takes me about a month to get through a book these days.
