The script itself definitely could’ve used a double tap itself bc the commentary it’s trying to make on 2009 vs 2019 culture is um, undercooked. However I did laugh a lottttt more than I thought I would and it’s kind entertaining to see incredible actors recite terrible dialogue with such conviction. Zoey Deutch is low key a revelation and one of my favorite performances right now.
The stupidest, stupidest moment in Zombieland Double Tap that I *need* an explanation for is a 2009 flashback where Al Roker makes a cameo & tries to take a selfie with a Motorola RAZR phone? which doesn’t have a front-facing camera? And for some reason they forgot the iPhone 4??
